We have a reasonably sized garden that we haven't gotten around to properly landscaping. It's a constant war on weeds. I was going through two pairs of gardening gloves a summer with pulling thorny bramble and nettles. These are brilliant. I can go after the thorny stuff without worry and am able to pull weeds after it rains when the ground is nice and soft. The fit is ideal (normally wear a size 7 in gloves) but they have enough give in them that someone with larger hands would still be comfortable. I was worried they might be a bit thick but I still feel enough dexterity to do what needs doing. I have early stages of arthritis in my hands and have found that these gloves keep my hands warm enough that my symptoms don't flare up after a few hours working in the garden. Couldn't be more pleased.

As others have noted- these are in most ways brilliant gloves which spoil you for any others- they are supremely comfortable and it's great to have leather which remains flexible. However they are not cheap and there are a couple of issues, hence 4 not 5 stars. They leak yellow dye onto the hands and nails when wet- to be fair, I did not have this problem with the first pair I bought. But since one reason to wear gloves is to keep hands looking reasonable for work- it's not great to look like a heavy smoker with stained nails. And like most gardening gloves they give way at the fingertips rather too quickly, so I have had to replace an otherwise perfectly good pair earlier than I would have hoped. This is with normal use.
The seams go, and the leather itself also wears through. If gold leaf could sort out these aspects- they would be perfect.

Gloves are protective, comfortable to wear and remain dry inside. I use them for all gardening jobs whether pruning, dividing plants or managing the compost bins. I wear them collecting wet autumn leaves from flowerbeds and any 'mucky' jobs because I am confident that my hands will remain dry and warm. I leave them to dry in a warm place and they will be ready to go again, without losing shape. Brilliant.

Having bought cheap gloves that usually fell apart after only a few uses a friend gave me a pair of the winter gloves from this range. `i've been so impressed with them that I've bought myself the summer weight ones. Having found other gloves impairing my dexterity when dealing with small cuttings etc, these summer weight ones are a lovely, snug fit and I don't need to take them off to do the fiddly bits. Well worth the money, especially if they last a long time, which I have every hope they will.

These gloves are very soft and comfortable, my last pair I had for roughly 10 years, but the leather had worn out on the fingertips hence the new ones. They are not waterproof by any stretch of the imagination. But are good for pruning plants with thorns, as in our house, a hedge that is about 26ft long of Pyracanthas, which is what I primarily buy them for. I would highly recommend them. They also make a wonderful gift, for any gardener.

I am 5'3" and I think that my hands are pretty standard but the fingers of these gloves were too short about 1"/25mm and the gloves themselves just came to my wrist.

They are lovely and soft and I am off to search to see if I can buy them in a different size as when I bought them previously I think they offered different sizes.

Great quality and great looking gloves
I would of preferred the yellow colour on the outside of glove and black in inside as they were so nice looking gloves I didn't want to dirty them.
Fabulous to look at and use very comfortable especially the more you use them but i would say only for small hands as these are not big made but would definitely buy them again but in a different colour
